About

ABD.RAHIM AWANG is a faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Surveying, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), MALAYSIA since 1987. 

Research and consultancy interest are in the area of Interior Architecture, Hotel & Resort design, F&B design,  Design Education development and Design Security. Professional design work specialize in Interior Identity, Interior Architecture Design, and Project Management.

Appointed as panel advisor and assessor to accreditation of Interior Architecture Design programs in Private Universities Colleges for Malaysian Qualification Agency MQA(formerly LAN) and is a panel of Hotel star-rating inspector for Ministry of Tourism Malaysia (MoTOUR). 

Represents the Interior Design fraternity in the CAAEM Council, Board of Architect Malaysia (LAM) and a council member (Education Chairman) in Malaysia Institute of Interior Designers (IPDM). Affiliated as member to Tourism Educator Association of Malaysia (TEAM) and a registered Interior Designer with Board of Architect Malaysia (LAM)

Specialization : Interior Design Education, Interior Architecture Design, Hotel & Resort Interior, F&B Design, Interior Security.
